Support Tinubu to Rebuild Nigeria – FMC Chair Urges Youths
Dr. Dayo Israel, Chairman of the Board of Management at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, has one simple message for us: Stay focused, stay hopeful, and seize every opportunity to improve Nigeria.
Nigeria needs a serious upgrade, and guess what? We, the young generation, are the ones who can make it happen. Dr. Israel calls on us to work with President Bola Tinubu’s administration in government or the private sector to create a stronger, more prosperous nation.
At the inauguration of the APC Youth League’s state chapter executives in Abeokuta, he clarified that this is our moment. President Tinubu and state governments are already giving young Nigerians key roles in governance. Now, it’s up to us to make the most of these golden opportunities.
Dr. Israel knows the hustle is real, but he’s telling us straight: no more excuses! You must be part of the system if you want to change it. “Don’t sit back and complain. Whether as government officials, entrepreneurs, or young professionals, we all have a role in building the Nigeria of our dreams,” he said.
He also reminded us that perseverance is key. “You won’t always have all the necessary resources, but passion and commitment will take you far. Don’t let a lack of funds or government support stop you. Start where you are, with what you have, and watch how doors open for you!”
Olamide Lawal, National President of the APC Youth League and Special Adviser on Youth Development to Governor Dapo Abiodun, also had some wise words. He urged us to be role models and avoid negative influences, especially in this digital age.
“Social media is flooded with distractions. Be mindful of what you consume online. Instead of wasting time on unproductive content, focus on learning new skills. The government can’t provide jobs for everyone, but if you have valuable skills, you’ll always be in demand,” he advised.
The newly inaugurated APC Youth League leaders have already been trained to engage with grassroots communities and strengthen the party’s political base. That means more opportunities for young people to get involved, learn, and grow.
Dr. Israel and Lawal appreciate Tinubu and Abiodun’s efforts to empower the youth. However, they also call for more investment in programs that build skills and prepare us for success. Honestly, that’s exactly what we need.
The message is clear: Stop waiting for change, be the change! Nigeria is a work in progress, and the youth are the builders. Support Tinubu’s administration, take every opportunity that comes your way, and most importantly, believe in your potential. The future is ours—let’s claim it.
