Super Eagles Fans to Get Free Tickets Courtesy of Gov Eno
Fans in Akwa Ibom are in for a treat as Governor Umo Eno has secured 30,000 tickets for the 2026 World Cup qualifier between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Zimbabwe’s Warriors. The match takes place today (Tuesday) at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
How to Get Your Free Ticket
To ensure easy access, the state government has set up several distribution points in Uyo where fans can collect their tickets. According to the Commissioner for Sports, Paul Bassey, the designated locations include:
- All radio stations in Akwa Ibom
- De Venus Bar and Restaurant, Stadium Road
- Uyo Township Stadium
- Plaza Management Committee Office, Ibom Plaza
- All previous sales agents and centres
Bassey made it clear that tickets are completely free. He also warned fans not to buy from unauthorized sellers and stressed that entry into the stadium will not be allowed without a ticket. Additionally, no tickets will be distributed at the stadium itself, so fans should get theirs in advance.
Security and Matchday Guidelines
To maintain order, fans are urged to follow seating arrangements and comply with all instructions from organizers. The commissioner emphasized that FIFA, CAF, and NFF regulations for international matches will be strictly followed. Security agencies have been mobilized to enforce these rules and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
Super Eagles’ Recent Performance
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are heading into this match with confidence after a 2-0 victory over Rwanda last Friday in Kigali. Victor Osimhen’s first-half brace secured the win, bringing Nigeria’s total to six points from five matches.
With free tickets available and the excitement building, this match promises to be an unforgettable experience for football fans in Akwa Ibom.
