Soludo Sets N10 Million Bounty to Capture Killers of Security Agents in Anambra
Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State is making bold moves in the fight against insecurity, placing a hefty N10 million bounty on the heads of the killers responsible for the tragic deaths of security operatives and innocent civilians in the state.
On Thursday, Soludo visited the grieving families of the victims in Ihiala Local Government Area, a community still reeling from the shocking attack. In a video that quickly spread across social media, the governor spoke passionately about the need to unite against the forces of violence that are terrorizing the region.
The brutal attack took place on December 30, 2024, when gunmen opened fire on security personnel and five unarmed residents during preparations for a burial ceremony. The incident left the community in shock and fear, prompting the state government to take swift action.
Soludo urged local residents, particularly community leaders, to step up and assist security forces in the ongoing battle against crime. He emphasized the importance of sharing vital information to ensure that these killers are brought to justice.
His words were clear: “Anyone who provides information that leads to the capture of these criminals will receive N10 million from the government.” This unprecedented bounty shows the state’s commitment to tackling the growing threat of violence head-on.
The governor also sent a strong message to the perpetrators, cursing them and declaring that their actions would bring nothing but misfortune. “Their generation will never see good things. They, their children, and all their supporters will not witness prosperity,” Soludo vowed in a mix of Igbo and English.
