Sanwo-Olu, Jandor Mourn as Lagos APC Chairman Loses Wife

Lagos State is feeling the weight of a heavy heart as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and political bigwig Abdul-Azeez Adediran (aka Jandor) send their heartfelt condolences to Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the Lagos APC Chairman, over the loss of his beloved wife, Ebunoluwa Esther Ojelabi.

Governor Sanwo-Olu took to Facebook on Monday to express his grief and solidarity with the Ojelabi family. He shared his deep sorrow over Mrs. Ojelabi’s passing and prayed for strength and comfort for the grieving chairman. In his words:

“I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Lagos State, on the passing of his beloved wife, Ebunoluwa Esther Ojelabi.

While this is an extremely difficult loss, I encourage you to take heart. Mrs. Esther Ojelabi lived a remarkable life and was a nurturing mother. Her warmth, kindness, and spirit touched many lives and she will be deeply missed.

May God bless her soul and grant you comfort. We share in your grief and are here for you.”

Adding his voice to the chorus of condolences, Jandor, a former Lagos PDP governorship candidate (now with the APC), described Mrs. Ojelabi’s passing as “untimely, sad, and painful.”

Through his spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye, Jandor sent his sympathies on Tuesday, recognizing how hard it is to lose a loved one, especially a life partner.

“At this sad moment, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of our party State Chairman and the entire Ojelabi dynasty. The loss of a loved one, especially a spouse, is an indescribable pain. I pray that God grants the family the strength to bear this loss and may her gentle soul rest in peace.”

The Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement also urged Ojelabi to stay strong, praying for divine strength to help the family navigate this difficult time.

No doubt, Mrs. Ojelabi’s passing has left a deep void, but the outpouring of love and support from political leaders and well-wishers shows just how much she was cherished. Lagos mourns with the Ojelabi family, and we pray for them during this tough period.
