MTN Apologises for Network Outage, Fully Restores Services
You’re not alone if you were frustrated with MTN’s network issues in Lagos recently. The good news? It’s all sorted now!
So, what happened? From Friday through Saturday, MTN users in some parts of Lagos had a rough time. Calls? Nope. Texts? Nada. Internet? Forget about it! It was like being thrown into the digital dark ages.
As expected, the vibes on social media were not good. People were venting left and right, and for good reason! Mobile networks are a big deal beyond casual browsing, especially regarding financial transactions. With Nigeria going all-in on cashless payments, this outage wasn’t just annoying; it was a real struggle.
MTN got the memo and finally apologized. In a message to subscribers, they admitted to the disruption and reassured everyone that the issue had been fixed. Their words? “Dear customer, we sincerely apologize for the challenges experienced with internet services yesterday in parts of Lagos State. This has been resolved, and services are fully restored. Thank you for being so understanding.”
It was a little late, but at least they admitted it! Now, services are back in full swing, and life can return to normal or as normal as it gets.
This whole thing reminded us how much we rely on reliable internet access. So, fingers crossed, there will be no more sudden blackouts, MTN! And if another hiccup happens, a little heads-up would be nice next time.
