Mercy Chinwo: VeryDarkMan Speaks Out After Court Orders His Arrest
Popular social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan (VDM), has finally spoken up after a Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, issued a bench warrant for his arrest. The charge? Alleged criminal defamation of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
On Thursday, March 13, 2025, Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna gave the order after VDM failed to appear in court despite a summons issued earlier on March 5. The drama keeps unfolding!
But VDM isn’t backing down. Taking to his Instagram story, he addressed the situation in his signature bold style. And guess what? He’s currently chilling abroad but has no plans of dodging the case. Instead, he threw down the gauntlet, daring security agencies to arrest him when he landed in Nigeria. Talk about fearless!
In his usual streetwise Pidgin, he wrote, “I dey come to Naija very soon, make una ready to arrest me for the airport. Arrest no be the new thing for the Ratel na.” Translation: He’s unbothered and ready for whatever comes next.
