IWD: Ekiti Biker MamaSpade Embarks on a 7000km Unity Ride to South Africa
Bikers, adventure lovers, and dream chasers, this one’s for you! MamaSpade, the fearless Ekiti-born biker, is revving for a lifetime 7,000km of pure adventure from Lagos to Cape Town! And guess what? It’s not just about the thrill. It’s a mission for unity, a ride to prove that African nations can be more connected than ever.
For those who don’t know, MamaSpade isn’t new to pushing limits. In 2023, she rode from Lagos to Ivory Coast, covering 5,000km. But for her, that was just a warm-up. This time, she’s going bigger, bolder, and farther, cruising through Cameroon, Congo, Angola, Namibia, and South Africa. Talk about next-level wanderlust!
“I want to show that biking is more than just a hobby. It has given me freedom, strength, and purpose,” Mama Spade shares. “This ride is my way of celebrating unity among African nations while inspiring others, especially women, to chase their dreams fearlessly.”
No epic journey happens without solid support, and MamaSpade has plenty. Her squad at Detail & Avedia, her family, and her number one fan, her mom, are all rooting for her.
Her mom’s reaction? Priceless! “From the moment she was born, I knew she was destined for greatness,” she says. “I never imagined she’d become a passionate biker, but watching her chase her dreams is incredible.” And let’s not forget the biker communities across Nigeria, who have been nothing but supportive!
This journey isn’t just about crossing borders and breaking barriers. Toluwani Adeniyi, the project manager for this ride, puts it best: “MamaSpade is proving that women can dream big and achieve even bigger. In a world where women are often told to take the backseat, she’s in the driver’s seat, owning the road and her destiny.”
So, here’s to bold dreams, big rides, and badass women. MamaSpade is on the move, and we’re here for every mile of her journey. Follow her adventure, cheer her on, and most importantly, let her story inspire you to take your own leap of faith!v
