EPL: Rashford? Not My Player Right Now – Man Utd Boss Amorim Speaks Out!
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has set the record straight: Marcus Rashford is not his player right now. You heard that right! During his pre-match press conference, the boss made it clear ahead of United’s big Premier League showdown with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
If you’ve been keeping up with the drama, you already know Rashford and Amorim haven’t exactly been best buddies at United. The English forward found himself out of favor under Amorim’s leadership, which led to his loan move to Aston Villa for the rest of the season. And guess what? He’s been killing it at Villa Park! Just last Sunday, Rashford bagged a brace in their FA Cup 3-0 win against Preston. Talk about a comeback!
When asked about Rashford’s form ahead of United’s match with Nottingham Forest, Amorim didn’t hesitate to respond. But he kept it cool and professional:
“I am focused on my team and my players. Rashford is not my player at the moment. But of course, I am happy when our players are playing well on loan.”
That’s a classy way of saying ‘do your thing, Rashford, but I’ve got a squad to manage here!’
Switching gears, Amorim also gave fans a much-needed injury update on Ayden Heaven. And the news? Not too shabby!
“Ayden Heaven’s injury is not so serious. He’s not ready yet now but he will play again this season, for sure.”
So, United fans can breathe easy, Heaven will be back in action soon!
With Rashford balling out at Aston Villa and United pushing forward in the league, all eyes are on Amorim to see how he keeps his squad in top shape. Will Rashford return to Old Trafford as a changed player? Or is this the beginning of a new chapter elsewhere? Only time will tell!
