The buzz around the Federal University Teaching Hospital (DUFUTH) in Uburu, Ebonyi State, has been making waves lately. Accusations flew that I, Chief David Umahi, the Minister of Works, was behind a protest against the hospital’s management. Let’s set the record straight, I had nothing to do with it!

I made it clear during a recent meeting with traditional rulers and community members that I never gave the green light for any protest. When the President General asked me in Abakaliki, “Should we protest?” My response was a big, fat NO!

It is crystal clear to me that we should fully support Professor Uzoma Agwu, the Chief Medical Director. She’s our own and deserves a chance to complete her tenure without distractions.

Good news, folks! Our Governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru, has stepped in to calm the waters. He’s taking charge, investigating the situation, and working on a resolution. So, let’s chill and let the process play out.
