Odumodublvck Tells Davido to Drop His Album Under Kcee & E-Money’s Label — But There’s a Twist!
If you’ve been scrolling through X (formerly Twitter) lately, you probably caught the hot gist Nigerian rap sensation, Odumodublvck, just threw the internet into a frenzy with his latest post about none other than Davido. And trust me, it’s the kind of drama only the music scene can serve!
So here’s what went down.
Odumodublvck recently jumped online and playfully suggested that Davido should ditch his own label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), and instead release his upcoming album, 5ive, under 5 Star Music, the record label owned by Kcee and E-Money. Yeah, you heard that right!
In his post, he wrote:
“Davido, I trust your vision and all. But this album is not meant to be released under 30BG. This album is meant to drop under Kcee and E-Money. I rest my case.”
Now, here’s the thing: many fans missed the joke and totally misunderstood what Odumodublvck was trying to say. Some even dragged him online, thinking he was shading or downgrading Davido. But real ones who caught the vibe knew he was actually giving Davido a major compliment in the most sarcastic, Gen Z way possible.
Basically, Odumodublvck was hyping the album as a five-star masterpiece, cleverly tying it to 5 Star Music. Talk about cheeky wordplay!
For those who don’t know, Davido is set to release his fifth studio album, titled 5ive, this April under his own label, DMW, in partnership with Sony Music. So far, he’s dropped three fire singles off the project:
🔥 Awuke featuring YG Marley
🔥 Funds featuring Odumodublvck and Chike
🔥 Be There Still
From the sound of these tracks, it’s clear why Odumodublvck couldn’t help but crown the album “5 Star.” He wasn’t trolling, he was actually giving props in a funny, funky way.
But of course, social media is social media, and some fans took it the wrong way and sparked unnecessary controversy.
At the end of the day, we all know Davido and Odumodublvck are on good terms after all, they recently linked up on Funds, and the track is pure flames!
